Jeff ModelMedical Product Development and Manufacturing Advisor

Jeff Model obtained his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. As the Medical Product Development and Manufacturing Advisor, he brings over 15 years of product development experience in the design, development, manufacturing, and commercialization of Class II and III medical devices to CBIE. During his tenure at MC10, Model led the mechanical architecture of the BioStamp wearable monitoring system, set up the skin bio-adhesive manufacturing line, co-authored the company-wide ISO 13485-certified quality management system, and led the company's first IRB-approved clinical study.  Prior to that, he worked at Angiodynamics, where he helped drive the design and validation of the company's RF, microwave, and IRE ablation devices and systems. Prior to Angiodynamics, Model worked at Hologic and led the mechanical design and implementation of high volume Class III surgical devices from napkin-stage concepts to full market release. Model currently serves as technical lead/advisor at Wearifi and Vice President of Product Development at Epicore Biosystems, a company bringing novel skin-interfaced sweat microfluidic devices to consumer and medical markets.
