Chad WebbBioelectronics Technology Translation Advisor

Dr. Chad Webb began his technical career more than 20 years ago designing electronic test fixtures for a small technology start-up (acquired by Silicon Labs). Since then, he has held R&D roles across academia, government laboratories, start-ups, and Fortune 100 companies, building and leading technology programs in nanoelectronics fabrication, polymeric electret kinetics, and wearable electronics for medical and personal safety applications.

Chad’s experience spans the innovation lifecycle—from laboratory concept through commercialization—including new program development, manufacturing, trial execution, R&D strategy, intellectual property strategy and licensing, and acquisitions. He currently serves as CEO of Rhaeos, Inc., where he leads the development, translation, and commercialization of a new generation of FDA-regulated wearable cerebrospinal fluid flow-sensing products. He is an inventor on more than 30 granted patents and has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications, many of which form the foundation of wearable flow-sensing technology.

Chad earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
